Ceva says Mobilint's REGULUS edge AI system-on-chip is the first production deployment of its NeuPro NPU family, targeting robotics, drones, machine vision, smart cameras and IoT devices.

Silicon IP company Ceva announced on November 2 that South Korean fabless AI semiconductor firm Mobilint has deployed Ceva's SensPro AI DSP and NeuPro-Nano NPU in its REGULUS edge AI system-on-chip, the first production deployment of Ceva's NeuPro NPU family.

Built for real-time AI on the device

According to the announcement, REGULUS is a standalone processor that runs Linux and applications without a host, delivering 10 TOPS of AI performance at under 3W and supporting up to 8GB of memory. It targets power- and space-constrained uses including robotics, drones, machine vision, smart cameras and IoT devices.

The same chip powers a shipping USB accelerator

REGULUS also powers Mobilint's MLD-R1 AI USB accelerator, which is now shipping after a preview at COMPUTEX 2026. Mobilint also offers a system-on-module and an evaluation kit, and says its software kit has validated more than 490 model architectures.

The two companies

Mobilint, headquartered in Seoul and founded in 2019, specializes in neural processors and AI SoCs for edge and on-device AI. Ceva says its technology has shipped in more than 22 billion devices for over 400 customers. Yaron Galitzky, executive vice president and general manager of Ceva's AI division, called REGULUS an important milestone for the NeuPro NPU family.
