Paris RER B strike cuts northern trains to two in three on Oct 31–Nov 1, with a change at Gare du Nord for CDG airport

A local labour action will disrupt Paris RER B service all day on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1: about two trains in three will run on the northern section towards Charles de Gaulle airport and Mitry-Claye, the southern section will run almost normally, and the through connection at Gare du Nord will be broken, so cross-city passengers must change trains there.
PARIS — Paris RER B trains will run a reduced service this weekend because of a local labour action. Under a notice posted by the line operator on October 29, all day on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, about two trains in three will run on the northern section towards Charles de Gaulle airport and Mitry-Claye, while the southern section will run almost normally.
Through connection broken at Gare du Nord
On both days, the through connection at Gare du Nord will be broken: trains from the south will terminate there and trains to the north will leave from platforms 43 and 44, so passengers travelling across the city on the RER B will have to get off and change trains at Gare du Nord. The operator warns of longer waits and fuller trains, especially at the airport stations and at Gare du Nord, and advises passengers to check train times the day before after 5 p.m. via the Île-de-France Mobilités journey planner, Transilien or RATP, and to allow extra time for airport journeys.
Not the same as Saturday's central Paris security closures
This reduced service is a separate local labour action and should not be confused with the Saturday security closures of central Paris metro stations linked to the demonstration, which are ordered by the police prefecture and announced separately. The RER B disruption covers only October 31 and November 1, and exact departures remain subject to the operator's timetable for the day.
This report is compiled from the RER B operator notice and related reporting; check Île-de-France Mobilités, Transilien or RATP for the day's information before travelling.
