Thursday strike and evening works; Line 6 partly closed on Sunday
According to Sortiraparis, the November 5 interprofessional strike, called by unions including CFDT, CGT, FO, UNSA and FSU over wages, public services and jobs, includes a joint SNCF strike notice from its four representative unions; detailed traffic forecasts are expected around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4. RER and Transilien works are mostly in the evening, affecting services in Yvelines, Val-d'Oise, Essonne, Seine-et-Marne, Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine. Metro Line 6 will be closed all day Sunday, November 8, between Charles de Gaulle-Étoile (8th arrondissement) and Nation (12th arrondissement).
Student march and curfew: other travel variables in Paris this week
Student organisations plan a march in Paris on Tuesday, November 3, setting off from Place du Panthéon towards the Medef employers' federation headquarters, but the route has not yet been confirmed by the Paris Police Prefecture; high-school blockades resumed on Monday, November 2, as schools returned. Separately, the curfew around Place de la République and Les Halles ended at 6 a.m. on November 2, with no new curfew announced for the week, though partial or local curfews can still be imposed at short notice. Passengers should check RATP forecasts again the evening before the strike day.
