The Delhi Development Authority's Awaas Nivesh Yojana 2026 has drawn a strong response from homebuyers: all 4,164 LIG flats in Narela are booked, including 1,648 additional flats in the second phase that sold out within an hour of online bookings opening on October 29, underscoring demand for affordable homes in the capital.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) says its Awaas Nivesh Yojana 2026 has seen a strong response from homebuyers: all 4,164 LIG (low-income group) flats in Narela are booked. The 1,648 additional flats put up for sale in the second phase were booked within just an hour of online bookings opening at noon on Thursday, October 29, for flats in Pocket 1, Sector G2–G6, Narela.

Strong demand for affordable homes

The DDA said the response reflects homebuyers' confidence in its housing schemes and demand for affordable residential options in the city. The scheme has been closely monitored by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Meanwhile, Narela is gradually taking shape as an important residential and institutional hub, with infrastructure projects in education and sports expected to give it a bigger role in Delhi's future growth.

What comes next: better civic amenities

The authority said it will continue to focus on making quality housing more accessible while ensuring planned development across the capital, and is working to improve civic facilities and infrastructure to support Narela's growth as a residential area.
